Patricia Castellanos

Patricia Castellanos is a member of the ICTF JPA governing Board and also serves on the Port of Los Angeles Board of Harbor Commissioners. Patricia Castellanos was appointed to the Los Angeles Board of Harbor Commissioners by Mayor Eric Garcetti and confirmed by the Los Angeles City Council on September 27, 2013.

In additional to her role as a harbor commissioner, Castellanos serves as deputy director of the L.A. Alliance for a New Economy (LAANE), a leading policy, advocacy nonprofit organization, where she oversees the organization's efforts to advance economic development strategies that lead to better jobs and an improved environment. Prior to her current role, she served for six years as LAANE's director of the Coalition for Clean and Safe Ports. Before joining LAANE, she served as the harbor area director for former Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, a position where she coordinated the mayor's initiatives related to community services, environment, economic development, and goods movement in the harbor.

Castellanos previously served as director of policy, training, and education for Strategic Concepts in Organization and Policy Education (SCOPE) and supervised the implementation of is political education program.

Castellanos holds a bachelor's degree in political science from California State University, Long Beach.

She serves on the board of the Los Angeles League of Conservations Voters. In 2012, she was named "Democrat of the Year" for Assembly District 54 by the Los Angeles Democratic Party, and in 2006, "Woman of the Year" by the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce.

Castellanos is a Los Angeles native and lives in San Pedro.
